FAQ

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique used to create the illusion of fuller, more defined eyebrows. Using a fine blade, pigment is manually deposited into the upper layers of the skin, mimicking the appearance of natural brow hairs.

How long does Microblading last?

Microblading typically lasts 18 months to 2 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and how well you follow aftercare instructions. Touch-ups are recommended to maintain the shape and saturation of the brows.

Does Microblading hurt?

Pain tolerance varies from person to person. A topical numbing cream is applied to minimise discomfort during the procedure. Most clients report feeling minimal pain, describing the sensation as light scratching.

How do I choose the right brow shape and color?

During your consultation, I will recommend brow shapes and colors based on your facial structure, skin tone, and preferences. The goal is to enhance your natural features while achieving the desired look.

What is the aftercare process?

Aftercare is crucial for the healing and longevity of your Microblading results. You’ll be advised to keep the brows dry and avoid picking or scratching. Specific aftercare instructions will be provided at the end of your Microblading session, including how to clean and protect your brows.

Can anyone get Microblading?

Not everyone is a suitable candidate for Microblading. Individuals with certain skin conditions, those who are pregnant or nursing, or people undergoing chemotherapy are advised against it. A consultation will determine if Microblading is safe for you.

How long does the procedure take?

The entire Microblading process, including numbing, and the actual procedure, can take about 1 – 2 hours. Follow-up sessions, if needed, are usually much shorter.

What is the difference between Microblading and tattooing?

Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing but differs from traditional tattooing in its technique and longevity. The pigments are deposited more superficially compared to a tattoo, resulting in a semi-permanent result that fades naturally over time.

Is there any downtime?

There’s no significant downtime required after Microblading. You may experience slight redness or swelling, which typically subsides within a few days. Don’t worry you can still show your face in public! However, it’s important to follow aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing.
